Angela began dancing in Wellington when she was 6 years old with the Cathrine Aslin School of Dance completing her exams, performing in concerts, recitals and dance competitons in the lower North Island. Her love of stage and dance led her to perform in many local amateur theatre plays and musicals before opening her own dance studio in 2001.
Angela has a Diploma in ECE Education which she credits with allowing her to better understand children’s learning styles, and to provide all students with a positive, stimulating and fun dance environment.
Stephanie started dance at the age of 4 with the Cathrine Aslin School of Dance and continued to dance with the AGDA learning many genres of dance. Having completed her Tap, Jazz and Hip Hop NZAMD exams, Stephanie loves teaching the Hip Hop students, passing on her passion and love of dance, whilst studying at Victoria University. Stephanie also coaches and mentors the Hip Hop competitive dancers at the AGDA.
Alex is a graduate of the New Zealand School of Dance and a former dancer with the Royal New Zealand Ballet. Her professional career saw her touring and performing in New Zealand, Europe , USA and Asia. Alex has trained professionally in Ballet and Contemporary and is excited to be joining the AGDA in 2019 to pass on her passion and love of dance.
Karen started dancing with the Cathrine Aslin School of Dance when she was 9. She continued to dance as an adult student with AGDA where she completed her Original Jazz, American Jazz and Hip Hop NZAMD exams as well as teaching the Hip Hop classes. Karen teaches the Adult Jazz Beginner and Intermediate classes.
